Zan’s Brownies

Zan’s Brownies

2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
4 TBS cocoa
2 beaten eggs
½ cup sour milk (or plain milk with 1 tsp. Vinegar – let sit)
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup water
2 sticks butter

Sift flour, sugar and cocoa. Bring butter and water to a boil, pour over flour mixture while hot. Add sour milk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Pour into large cookie sheet with edges. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.

Icing
1 stick butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
6 TBS milk
4 TBS cocoa

Bring milk, butter and cocoa to a boil. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over brownies while hot.
